About the event

The focus will be on undertaking the 2021 Autumn bird surveys for the Wings on King program, with teams collecting data from 60 survey sites across the island, including on private land.  Survey participants must register. Over the weekend there will be social gatherings and a seminar focusing on the threatened birds of King Island. New research will be presented and discussion about BirdLife Australia's Conservation Action Plan that is monitoring and managing KI's critically endangered birds.  Details, speakers, venues etc will be found here. Accomodation discounts are offered by a variety of places on the island, to those who are registered Wings on King survey participants.
