How it works: 

 

All participants MUST REGISTER at least one week prior to the event.

Registrations close Thursday 16 April 2026.

 

Teams are made up of at least one experienced birder or two with medium experience, together with keen to learn others.  You can make up your own team or join a team that is compiled by the WoK management and are generally made up of a mix of experienced, non-experienced, visitors to KI and KI locals.

Thursday 23 April 2026

5:30pm to 7:30pm - King Island Gallery

• Welcome Orientation

• Team member sign up & meet and greet

• Team leader to collect their WoK Kits/Field Plans

​

Friday 24 & Saturday 25 April 2026​

• Teams undertake assigned surveys

​

Saturday 25 April 2026

6:00pm - TBA

​

• Presentation dinner with guest speaker (to be announced) - option to order drinks & a meal at your own cost on the night

• Return WoK Kits/completed paperwork (if all surveys were conducted)

Sunday 26 April 2026

 

• Complete remaining surveys & meet with WOK Assistants to return Field Plans, WoK Kits etc (if necessary)
