The only way to get to King Island is by air - you can fly from Melbourne (Tullarmarine, Moorabbin or Essendon) or Tasmania (Burnie - Wynyard, Launceston or Hobart.
We are about a 35 minute flight from Melbourne Tullamarine.
Mobile Phones
Telstra Next G is the only network that receives coverage on the island. SIM cards and mobile phones are available for purchase from the newsagent or post office. MicroSIMS are not available for purchase. International phones will probably work but we cannot guarantee this.
King Island is approximately 1098 square kilometres and has no public transport or taxis so a hire car is a must.

Most of the accommodation on King Island is self-catering.
